After watching on with much intrigue in previous years; I was determined that this would be the year I got in on the Incognito Art Show fun.

With the artist pack sent out by the Incognito crew arriving months in advance, my excitement to get a jump on my submission soon turned to mild disdain, as predictably; life got in the way. Between deadlines and the relentless merry-go-round of sickness descending upon our household; for weeks at a time, the cute little floral WIP's would be shuffled around the studio like teeny-tiny 'elephants' in the room.

Stealing an hour here and there to work on them, and of course a whole lot of 11th hour scrambling to get them over the line (feat. a little heavy lifting from my fan in order to get them dry in time) – I was stoked to be able to submit two vibrant little floral works, Flourishing I & Flourishing II [13038 & 0931] as a part of this year's exhibition.

As my first year participating, imagine my surprise to have both submissions snapped up on opening night of online sales! I was lucky enough to have both beautiful collectors reach out – both talented artists in their own right – and to be able to connect over our shared love of art (sneaky plug for my newfound art friends - Jillian Anderson and Danielle Campbell of Cillamint Studio). A huge thank you to everyone involved, I couldn't have been more delighted to be a part of it!

About Incognito Art Show:

The Incognito Art Show is a not-for-profit organisation supporting Australian artists living with disability. Open artists of all levels, this year's show saw over 10,000 entries received. From amateur through to Archibald-winning artists from around not only Australia, but the world; the exhibition is a lucky-dip of sorts, where collectors don't know the artist behind the work until after they have purchased!
